I Don’t Like To Convert Others Religion As Every Religion Has Its Own Essence: Lydia Schmitdt

Lydia Schmitdt is a German citizen working for more than twenty five years with various NGOs in Nepal. She has come to Nepal more than sixty times as she says Nepal is like her second home.

She is the founder of KEFSSO (Kika Education Foundation and Social Service Organization) which has been actively working in Nepal for twenty years. After the massive earthquake of 2015, it has been actively involving to support earthquake recovery and relief efforts in Nepal.

Besides, Lydia has been working with different community based schools and facilitating them open heatedly. Yet, she is in Nepal and to inaugurate the newly constructed building of Budhanilkantha Model Community Academy, Rudreshwor, Kathmandu, a school funded by her.

During the ‘Building inauguration and technical education programme’, the school has awarded her for the great contribution given for the educational development in Nepal.

She viewed that she is keenly looking forward for the political stability and development in Nepal.

During the exclusive interview to Pariwartankhabar.Com, Lydia spoke about her Nepal visits, her attachment with our people and culture, concept about Buddhism and Hinduism, her ideology and the contribution that she has been giving and willing to offer, that philanthropic sentiment only few people have got.
