Twelve persons have died and 18 others were badly injured in a road accident that took place at Chautara, Sindhupalchowk on Sunday morning. The accident carrying a passenger bus took place at Char kilo in Khadichaur on the Lamosanghu-Jiri road of Sindhupalchowk.
According to Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Bahrabise, Nawaraj Neupane, among the injured 18, two have been referred to Kathmandu while others are undergoing treatment at the Sadabahar Hospital in Khadichaur.
The bus (Ba. 4 Kha. 4468) was carrying pssenger from Kalinchowk of Dolakha to Bhaktapur when it fell some 100 meters below the road. The accident took place at 8:15 in the morning while the injured were rescued by Nepali Army, armed police and Nepal police personnel and the locals rescued the injured passengers.
