A bus (Ba 5 Kha 4286) carrying college students and lectures for a picnic fell off the road at Ghyampedanda of Suryabinayak municipality-8 in Bhaktapur. In the accident, at least 22 students were injured. The picnic was organised by Madan Bhandari Memorial College, Kathmandu.
Among the injured, two who were in serious condition are being treated at Bhaktapur Hospital and the rest at Sallaghari-based Dr. Iwamura Memorial Hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Raj Joshi, chief of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Jagati.
A big accident was averted as the bus stuck on tree branches, he said.
