2,685 people face action for violating lockdown

A number of two thousand and 685 people faced action for violating the nationwide lockdown enforced by the government in Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday.

As shared by Metropolitan Police Office, 321 two-wheelers and four-wheelers were taken under control and action against the drivers of the vehicles was taken.

The highest number of  2,157 people from Kathmandu faced action while 480 were from Lalitpur and 48 from Bhaktapur.

According to Deputy Inspector General of Police at Metropolitan Police Office, Bishworaj Pokharel, those violating lockdown have to take a three-hour lecture about coronavirus before being released.
