Nepal reported 638 fresh coronavirus cases in the 24 hours, taking the national tally to 23,948, Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the new cases were confirmed in 10,462 tests carried out in laboratories across the country.
A total of 16,664 have recovered across the country so far after 171 discharged from hospital and isolation centers in the last 24 hours, he shared. The recovery rate now stands at 69.6 percent.
At present, 7,201 people are in isolation and 11,058 are in quarantines.
Nepal reported four new deaths and the death toll has reached 83 he said.
