Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun has said development and prosperity should be the common agenda of all. Inaugurating the annual ‘Lalit International Trade Fair-2019’ amidst a programme here today, the vice-president said these two issues should be common agenda of the three-tier government. “
The nation is presently moving towards prosperity,” he said, wishing for peace and happiness among the Nepali. All governments from the centre to local should work hard to meet the people’s aspiration for peace, prosperity and development, he asserted.
He took a time to point out corruptions and irregularities which as he said are major obstacles to development in the country, and had their impact on every sector. “Budget allocated for development projects has turned futile due to corruptions.”
Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Pampha Bhusal underlined the need for promoting the local tourism, seeking the public-private cooperation to accelerate tourism-related tourism infrastructure.
The five-day event is organised by the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Lalitpur metropolis mayor Chiribabu Maharjan sought the Chamber’s support to the local government in tax collection. The festival aims to promote the local products and find an international market for them.
