Well-being is the active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. It is the state of being in good health and a dynamic process of change and growth. The World Health Organization has defined this term health as a “state of complete physical, mental, and social well- being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.  It is regarding emotional and social fitness too. To maintain an optimal level of wellness is extremely crucial to live a higher quality life. Human activities that they perform all depend on their status that relates to our well-being. In turn, our well-being has direct and immediate impact on human actions and emotions. It is an ongoing circle. Thus, the two concepts are not vice-versa but simultaneously go hand in hand in one’s quest toward complete well-being.

On the other hand, to be healthy and fit, nutrition plays very crucial role as it has direct connection to human actions and behaviors. More specifically, fruits and vegetables help us to spent quality life. Thus, eating vegetables as healthy diet provides health benefits as it reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of our body. But, here the serious concern is “Are we consuming healthy vegetables?” In these recent days, people are becoming more aware regarding their health, however, due to many reasons, still we are compelled to consume foods and vegetables that are not suitable to maintain healthy life. In the name of growing glaring vegetables in large quantity taking into account more profit, the vegetable producers are becoming more indifference towards human health.

A large amount of chemicals and pesticides are being used in farming and cultivation. These pesticides are poisons, toxic, and unfortunately they can harm more than just the “pests” at which they are targeted. Thus, it can cause a number of health issue as they are linked to a range of serious illness and diseases from respiratory problems to cancer. Essentially, if health is the goal, wellness is the way we might achieve it. Wellness is the action while good health is the desired outcome. Therefore, it is important for everyone to achieve optimal wellness in order to subdue stress, reduce the risk of illness and ensure positive interactions.
