The winter session of the federal parliament is commencing from Friday. As per the federal parliament sources, the Dr Shiva Maya Tumbhahamphe, deputy speaker at the Parliament will chair the session.
The post of the Speaker is vacant after then Speaker Krishna Bahdur Mahara resigned from the post. The business for the House session has been already scheduled.
According to sources, the House will be briefed about rescheduled Cabinet and important decisions and tasks of the government. In addition to this, the election of the new Speaker would be held in the session. Similarly, citizenship bill, federal civil servants bill, passport bill, bill related to integrated land management, and MCC (Millenium Challenge Corporation) pact would be discussed in the session.
