A rally is taking place from Thamel to Dasharath Stadium today afternoon in order to mark the beginning of the much-awaited Visit Nepal Year 2020. In regard to this, Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has strongly recommended all the concerned to take alternative routes.
The routes along Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Kalimati, Shahid Gate, Jamal, Keshar Mahal areas will be affected due to the rally.
An arrangement has been made to park vehicles in Tundikhle in front of Kathmandu Mall, according to traffic police office.
Similarly, those seeking information regarding the traffic condition can dial at 103 or tune to Metro Traffic FM 95.5 MHZ, requested the traffic police office.
The much awaited VNY 2020 is being organized amid a special program today. President Bidya Bhandari is inaugurating the program at 4 pm.
Like wise, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will deliver a special speech addressing to a huge gathering participated by national and international diplomats, tourism ministers from 40 countries, chiefs of international airline companies, as well as other foreign delegates and media personnel including India and China.
