With the coronavirus gaining foothold on every continent except for Antarctica, the death toll from the novel virus has climbed to 4,973.
The COVID-19 which first broke out in Wuhan City of China has already spread to 127 countries, killing at least 4,973 and infecting over 134, 678 people as of Thursday.
Of those infected, 69,142 have recovered following treatment and returned home.
China has the highest death toll with 3,170 while 80,797 have been infected with the novel virus.
Meanwhile, the China government has reported a drastic decline in the number of coronavirus cases. According to Chinese media, only four new cases were reported in China with one death on Thursday.
While the coronavirus cases coming under control in China, India has declared a corona epidemic in the country after one died of COVID-19 in Karnataka.
The victim returned from a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia on February 29 and died while being moved from a hospital in Hyderabad to his hometown.
Delhi declared Covid-19 an epidemic and ordered all cinema halls shut, Mumbai banned all public events, and at least four states said they were suspending regular classes in schools and colleges.
The novel virus is fast spreading across the European Continent, currently.
Italy has been the worst-hit next to China. A total of 1,016 people died and 15, 113 people have been infected with the novel virus in Italy. Similarly, 10,075 have been infected and 4,29 have died in Iran.
Likewise, 67 have died and 7, 979 have been infected with the novel virus in South Korea, according to international media.
