KMC assigns 11 places for operation of vegetable market

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has assigned 11 different places for the operation of vegetable market  in an attempt to minimize crowding at the Balkhu and Kalimati vegetable market.

The places assigned for this purpose are Kalankichok, Bafalchok, Swoyambhuchok, Banasthalichok, Gongabuchok, Basundharachok, Gopikrishnahall Chok, Teenkune Chok, Lainchaur, Ratna Park and Koteshworchok.

According to KMC agriculture department chief, Hari Bahadur Bhandari, the vegetables can be sold from these places until 8 am as an alternative vegetable market throughout the lockdown period.

He said all kinds of fruits and vegetables would be available at these spots.
