Maunata Lama will represent Nepal in the Miss Eco International 2018 beauty pageant taking place on 10-28 April in Egypt.
Chief Executive Officer of Green Art Media, Prabin Lacoul, said in a programme organized here on Thursday that Lama would vie for the title with the participants from 80 countries in the beauty contest. Green Art Media is the authorized agency for Miss Eco in Nepal.
At the programme, Ronali Amatya, last year’s winner of Miss Eco International Nepal title, crowned Lama with this year’s title. Before this, Princa Shrestha, Nagma Shrestha, and Amatya have represented Nepal in the Miss Eco International beauty pageant.
Eighteen years old Lama who lives in local Kapan is a Plus Two science student. She said she would represent Nepal in the Miss Eco International beauty pageant carrying with her the country’s typical cultural costumes and promote Nepali culture and tourism.
Miss Eco International is an international beauty competition that brings together representatives of different cultures and traditions from all over the world. Its main objective is to promote the importance of saving our planet environmentally in addition to marketing tourism across the world, Lacoul said.
This competition focuses on the wellness of the mind, body, and spirit of all the candidates that represent all the countries from all over the world.
