Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has witnessed 285 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 27, 967 as of Friday morning.
The number of infection cases in the country has reached 205, 463 after 1,872 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.
Currently, 101,551 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,694 are critical. Meanwhile, 75,945 have recovered after treatment.
Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 233,814 and infecting 3,303,850 people as of Friday morning.
