Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has 281 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 28, 236 as of Saturday morning.
The number of infection cases in the country has reached 207, 428 after 1,965 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.
Currently, 100,943 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,578 are critical. Meanwhile, 78,249 have recovered after treatment.
Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 239,408 and infecting 3,398,073 people as of Saturday morning.
