With Coronavirus wreaking havoc across the world, the death toll from the novel virus has climbed to 258, 003 after 5,762 died in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 80, 873 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 3,724,144 as of Wednesday morning.
Currently, 2,226, 313 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world, of which 49, 299 are critical.
Meanwhile, 1,239,828 have recovered after treatment.
America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 2,321 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 72,242 as of Wednesday morning.
According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 24,210 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,237,045.
Currently, 965, 112 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 16,175 are critical. Meanwhile, 199, 691 have recovered after treatment.
New York is the worst-hit with 25, 765 deaths followed by New Jersey and Michigan with 8,292 and 4, 179 deaths, respectively.
The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.
Italy has reported 236 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 29, 29, 315 as of Wednesday morning.
The number of infection cases in the country has reached 213, 013 after 1,075 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.
Currently, 98,467 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,427 are critical. Meanwhile, 85,231 have recovered after treatment.
Spain has the second highest number of infection cases with 250,561 after the United States of America (USA).
The country reported 2,260 infection cases, 185 deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 25, 613 have died due to the novel virus as of Wednesday morning.
Currently, 70, 230 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2,254 are critical.
Meanwhile, 154, 718 have recovered after treatment.
The death toll in the United Kingdom (UK) has reached 29, 427 after 693 died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday morning.
According to Worldometer, with 4, 406 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 194, 990.
Currently, 165, 219 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1, 559 are critical. UK has performed tests on 1,383,842 people so far.
France has reported 330 deaths in the last 24 hours taking to death toll to 25, 531 deaths as of Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the number of infection cases has surged to 170, 551 after 306 new cases were reported.
Currently, 92, 284 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 3, 430 are critical. Meanwhile, 52, 736 have returned home after recovery.
India has reported 1, 693 deaths after 127 died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday morning. With 2,963 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 49, 400.
Currently, 33, 565 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 14, 142 have returned home after recovery. The India government has performed tests on 1,191,946 people for Coronavirus so far.
