The Malaysian government has ordered all the foreign migrant workers including Nepali nationals with their visas expiring since January 1 to return to their respective countries.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia has ordered such migrant workers to leave the country within 14 days of the expiry of the Movement Order Control Order (MCO).

The migrant workers have to return to their countries between May 12 to 26, according to the statement issued by the Nepali Embassy in Malaysia.

Such migrant workers do not have to pay any fine nor do they have to make documents including passes at the immigration department.

Meanwhile, those whose visas expired before or during the lockdown have to get them renewed within one month starting May 12 from the main office of the immigration department of Malaysia.
