A total of 426 new cases have been confirmed in Nepal in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Friday.
With this, total cases in Nepal have reached 8,274.
Among the newly-infected, 338 are males and 88 females, said Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon.
Meanwhile, 216 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from different hospitals in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus. With this 1,402 have been discharged across the country so far.
In the last 24 hours, 6,231 samples have been tested through PCR, said Spokesperson Dr. Gautam.
According to him, 161,749 samples were tested through the PCR and 247,874 through the RDT so far.
At present, 6,850 people are in isolation and 109,461 are in quarantines across the country.
Nepal’s death toll stands at 22.
