Coronavirus has been confirmed on 927 more individuals in the last 24 hours in the country.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed on 334 women and 593 men while carrying out 10,229 PCR tests at different labs.
With this, the number of coronavirus infected people has reached 36,456.
Similarly, out of the total coronavirus cases, 415 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu Valley.
According to Dr. Gautam, the coronavirus infection has been confirmed in one person from Ilam, one from Udayapur, one from Okhaldhunga, 15 from Jhapa, two from Panchthar, 47 from Morang, two from Sankhuwasabha, 41 from Sunsari and one from Solukhumbu of Province 1.
Similarly, 20 people from Dhanusha, one from Parsa, four from Bara, 13 from Mahottari, 21 from Rautahat, seven from Saptari, 13 from Sarlahi and 12 from Siraha of Province 2 have been diagnosed coronavirus positive.
As many as 350 from Kathmandu, 17 from Kavre, 26 from Chitwan, 16 from Dhading, 3 from Nuwakot, 54 from Bhaktapur, 51 from Makwanpur, one from Rasuwa, 11 from Lalitpur, one from Sindhupalchowk and two from Sindhuli in Bagmati Province have been infected.
A total of 16 people from Kaski, one from Gorkha, four from Tanahun, 11 from Nawalparasi East, two from Lamjung and one from Baglung in Gandaki Province have been confirmed coronavirus positive.
Similarly, coronavirus has been confirmed in two persons from Arghakhanchi, two persons from Kapilvastu, one person from Dang, two persons from Nawalparasi, two persons from Bardiya, 36 persons from Banke and 72 persons from Rupandehi in Province 5.
According to Dr. Gautam, the infection has been confirmed in six people from Jumla, 11 people from Dailekh and three people from Salyan in Karnali Province have been diagnosed coronavirus positive.
Similarly, the infection has been confirmed in one person from Kanchanpur, 11 people from Kailali and nine people from Doti in Sudurpaschim Province in the last 24 hours.
As many as 169 have been recovered from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people discharged after recovery has reached 20,242 so far. A total of 164 coronavirus infected people are receiving treatment in ICU and 22 in ventilator support.
Dr. Gautam said that there are 16,019 are active cases with 9,573 in different isolation centers and 6,446 are in home isolation across the country.
Likewise, 12 more coronavirus infected people died in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people losing their lives to coronavirus has reached 195 so far.
