Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha shares that quality education is the need of today. Minister Shrestha also stresses that all the teachers, principal, school management committee and parents are equally accountable to improve the quality of education in community schools.
Community schools nowadays are gaining its pace and because children future is state future, teachers must work hard to make children good citizen- shared minister Shrestha.
He also added that such education policy is needed that produces capable citizen. COVID-19 pandemic has badly affected the education and now Nepal is facing the second wave of the outbreak, but government is not in the favor of imposing lockdown that directly hampers the school education- he added.
Minister Shrestha shared this on the parent’s day and honor program organized by Bal Uddar Secondary School, Kapan in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The program started with the welcome speech by Shreya Gurung of grade 4 in which principal Binod Pandit shared the annual report including the income and expenditure details of the school. Similarly, ward chair of Budhanilkantha Municipality-10 Nabaraj Bhattrai shares that government should manage the early childhood development program.
During the program, dignitaries from different field who had contributed the school were honored by the chief guest, education minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha along with the school management committee president and other members.
Individuals who had received the honor were Former principal Dor prasad Acharya, Nora Subedi, Mithu Sigdel, Indra Kishor Jha, Indira Basnet, Prof. Jagat Prasad Upadhya, Goma Devi Bastola, Surya Bahadur Adhikari, Khilanath Adhikari, Nabaraj Bhattrai, motivational speaker Shristi K.C., Nanda Singh, prof. Dr. Hemnath Poudel, Misha Ram Adhikari, rotarian Salikram Adhikari, Kedar Raj Pudasaini, Laxmi Prasad Sangroula, Arjun Prasad Poudel, Former president of the school management committee Dambar Adhikari, Parasmani Dahal, Aatma Ram Poudel, Bishnu Prasad Sharma and Shiva Prasad Bajgain. Similarly, Dilli Prasad Dotel, Thakur Prasad Thakurel, Ram Prasad Luintel, Nabin Chandra Pokhrel, Lok Hari Luintel, Hari Ram Dhungana, Deepa Gurung, Khilanath Adhikari and from parent’s side Indra kumari Magar, Menuka Khanal, Krishna Prasad Khanal, Sandhya Khanal, Sarita Sapkota, Rit Prasad Sapkota were honored. Disciplined student Maya Tamang, Salina Tamang, Saraswati Pokhrel, Shiva Ram Adhikari, Rajesh Nepali, Karun Gautam and Chhoram Tamang were also honored.
Token of love was provided to the chief guest in the program by the school management committee president Dhruba Prasad Ghimire. Similarly, mayor of the Budhanilkanatha Municipality Uddav Prasad Kharel shared that Bal udder School is leading as one of the model community school in Budhanilkantha.
He also said that municipality is working for the educational progress of the school and planning to pursue technical education soon. The program was formally ended by the school management committee president Dhruba Prasad Ghimire. He requested the municipality to help for making the audit report of the school prior to 15 years. Ghimire also stresses on quality education, school responsibility and parents’ awareness.
After that, welcome program for grade 11 students was organized in which best teachers were provided with token of love by the ‘Lilly’ management students. Students performed different cultural performance during that program. Dr Rajan Bhattrai, foreign affairs advisor to prime minister KP Oli as special guest, dignitaries, experts, social worker, principals of different schools, school management committee members, parents and students were participated largely in the program.
