The Mother’s Day is being observed by paying homage to their mothers across the country today.
People get up early in the morning, take bath and worship their mothers by giving presents and goodies to their mothers.
The day falls on the Matatirtha Aunsi. Those who do not have their mothers go to Matatirtha to pay tribute to the departed souls of their mothers. Devotees flock to the Matatirtha pond, take a holy deep and observe the day by offering alms to the poor.
However, this year also due to the lockdown, there is no such ceremony. Though people were seen busy buying sweets, fruits and present to their mother early today morning.
Likewise, those who are abroad take to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and telephone to remember their mom.
