The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 912,846 as of Tuesday afternoon.
The ministry said 377 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 6,505 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 339 returned positive. Likewise, 2,644 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 38 tested positive.
Of total tests, 5.21 per cent of the PCR and 1.43 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 4.12 per cent.
As of today, there are 7,476 active cases across the country. Of them, 492 are hospitalised, 219 in intensive care units and 59 on ventilators.
In the past 24 hours, 170 people have achieved recovery whereas 4 death was reported.
Of the total cases so far, 798,544 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11482 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, 79,569 people were vaccinated today.
