The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 917,979 as of Saturday afternoon.
The ministry said 238 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 5,295 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 220 returned positive. Likewise, 1,502 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 18 tested positive.
As of today, there are 6,744 active cases across the country. Of them, 347 are hospitalised, 106 in intensive care units and 32 on ventilators.
In the past 24 hours, 392 people have achieved recovery whereas five deaths were reported.
Of the total cases so far, 804,108 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,540 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.8 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, 175,567 people were vaccinated today.
