Kathmandu, Feb 22
A total of 54 army persons including those from military giant nations have completed the command and staff course from Nepal Army’s Command and Staff College.
Among 54, 10 army persons are from Bangladesh, China, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri Lanka and the US. They completed the course from the Staff College located at Shivapuri, Kathmandu, on Wednesday, said lead trainer Colonel, Ganesh Kumar Shrestha.
The training incorporating some course of Masters of Arts under the Tribhuvan University is taken as the fundamental study for the military persons to reach the higher posts (general) in the army.
Since the establishment in 1992, the College has provided the course to 922, including 62 foreign military persons, Shrestha added.
It is the rare case that the military persons from China, the US and the India have completed the course together.
The College opened the study for foreign military persons since 2011.
In addition to the military strategy, the course provides training on leadership development, military diplomacy, disaster management, conduct of peace keeping mission, and human rights.
