An international conference has kicked off here to deliberate on the best practices of a project implemented for promoting the nutrition-sensitive agricultural practices in order to improve the nutrition of the people living in the mountainous region.
The two-day conference organised by Helvetas, FIBL and IFOM Organs International kicked off here on Tuesday.
The conference brings together around 150 experts from Pakistan, India, Peru, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, including Nepal. Before this, this kind of conference was organised in Pakistan in 2016.
The experts will share knowledge and experience gained from projects on improvement of nutrition through agriculture implemented in Nepal, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia and Peru, by means of the working papers that would be presented and discussed in course of the training.
The project which started from 2015 will run until May 2018. Thirty sub-projects under the project have been implemented in Mugu, Dailekh, Kalikot, Achham, Jajrkot, Bajura, Jumla and Banke districts.
