Kathmandu, March 1
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the first priority of the government is the economic prosperity.
The government adopts integrity and educate all youths to involve them in development, PM Oli said during a programme organized on the 12th convocation of the Rastriya Sewa Dal in Lalitpur today.
He argued that economic prosperity is possible only with the contribution from youths. The PM urged all those involved in the training to work with high morale and national unity.
“All need to work together for the development of this country decorated the highest peak of the world, the home to the birthplace of Lord Budhha and natural specificities,” he exhorted.
Defense Minister and Rastriya Sewa Dal Coordinator Ishwor Pokhrel stressed that the government would pay heed to best utilize the knowledge and skills of the youths.
Youth empowerment is another priority of the government, he added.
Those coming up with best performances in the training were awarded on the occasion.
During the convocation, the participants sang the patriotic song penned by PM Oli.
Director General of the Rastriya Sewa Dal, Major General Rabindra Chhetri said that the Sewa Dal would impart training to 7,700 youths of 77 districts in the days ahead with an objective of preparing ‘Smart Youth’. The knowledge gained from the training has helped make the youths empowered.
Youths from 76 districts had participated in the 13th convocation. The Sewa Dal has a target to impart training to 6,000 youths this year.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli unveiled a book ‘Rastriya Sewa Dal: Past and Present’. Participants in the training had presented different performance including dance.
