The Election Commission (EC) has given training to the Election Officers to be deployed in the election to the President to be held on March 13. The EC said that the training was given to make the elections free, fair and credible.
The EC said that the one-day training was conducted for the election officers, assistant election officers and human resources to be deployed in the Office of the Election Officer.
On the occasion, Chief Election Officer Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav said that the EC’s entire attention was focused on the management of the election. Election to the President is crucial in itself.
EC’s Spokesperson Nabaraj Dhakal said that the EC has fixed the limitations of the election publicity expenditures for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
He said that a candidate can spend as high as Rs 400,000 in the election publicity campaign.
