‘Sticker at House Campaign’ kicks off in province 1



Biratnagar, May 28

Chief Minister of Province no 1, Sherdhan Rai, today launched a campaign to paste stickers at houses for providing information and security to the people.

The campaign was launched in all 14 districts of the province no 1 today with an objective of pasting sticker at one million houses within a month under the 100-day programme of the provincial government.

District Police Offices of the province no 1 would deploy security personnel at door steps of the people and paste the stickers as well as collect data of the families.

The campaign launched under the leadership of the District Police Office has been named as ‘Police with people’. The sticker include telephone number of province police office, toll free number, telephone number of Federal Unit Police Office, Dharan, and District Police Office. The campaign was launched under the slogan, ‘Your information, every one’s security’.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Rai said that ensuring security, good governance and respect to the people was first responsibility of the government.
He further said that it was necessary to make publicity of the campaign to launch it across the nation as contact of people with the security personnel would be increased through the medium of sticker as well as criminal activities would be decreased.

Similarly, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Hikmat Karki, expressed belief that it would have a great support to establish crime-free society as people could make contact with security personnel through the sticker as per their need.

Likewise, Mayor of the Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Bhim Parajuli, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kedar Rijal, Chief District Officer Ram Prasad Rijal, among others expressed their views.

Earlier to this, a rally was organised from Adarsha Higher Secondary School of Biratnagar with an objective creating public awareness about the campaign where CM Rai, Internal Affairs Minister Karki, Social Development Minister Jeevan Ghimire, locals, security personnel and media persons were present.
