Speakers at a programme have underscored the need of expanding the diplomatic ties between Nepal and Canada to people’s level.
During a programme organized by Nepal Canada Friendship and Cultural Association on the 53rd anniversary of Nepal-Canada ties Thursday, they further said the cultural relations between the countries should be deepened.
Minister for Supplies, Jayant Chand, said Canada was interested in investing in hydropower and tourism in Nepal.
Association Chairman Hiranya Lal Shrestha argued that Nepal’s tourism could be promoted by bringing in Canadian tourists, as the Canadian were fond of mountain climbing.
