Naya Shakti Party coordinator Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said expected development following the significant political change in the country remained unmet due to poor performance of authorities concerned.
In his address to an ‘interaction program on good governance and good conducts’ organised in course of the party’s one month long campaign, he said institutional reforms in every sector was necessary to have a good system everywhere. The situation would remain the same for the next 50 years if timely interventions were not taken.
On the occasion, political parties, teachers, intellectuals, civil society and public were of the view that the party could not escape the liability to human and physical losses occurred during the decade-long armed conflict. The party should own up the responsibility for fighting for justice to the conflict survivors, they asserted.
The party was advised to incorporate the social and cultural issues in the party’s agenda for public discourse.-
