Human life is a beautiful gift of god. It is the highest expression of nature full of thoughts, qualities, feelings and characteristics. Each of us has our own adorable quality and certain destinations in life. We live in a world where women are looked at particular ways. And of course love is an inseparable part of life where everybody of us wishes to approach all with affection, respect, honesty and dignity. But, life always does not remain the same as we feel many ups and downs movement perhaps the most miserable one. Sometimes, we become the victim of our own nearest one especially in the case of violent and erotic incidents.
We have been listening and reading the stories of acid attack especially young girls are being targeted for such an inhuman practice. Acid attack is a form of violent assault with the ill intention to disfigure, maim, torture or kill someone. Most particularly for rejecting the love proposal by one and also with the intention to take revenge due to many reasons such crime has been committed. It is really astonishing that people walking in the street react differently, stare and talk badly at such acid attack victims. In recent day’s acid attack have become common and most frequently happening crime which may leads to not only psychological trauma and isolation from the society but even to death.
In the contrary, instead becoming suicidal many of the victims themselves became an activist after surviving an acid attack. Despite their latent pain, they are trying to make them a little bit more comfortable to get into the comfort zone. At the same time, such acid attack survivors are fighting for the rights of acid attack victims and trying to bring hope to came into the normal life. It is really appraisable step that has become the significant force to bring necessary changes in the respective laws. In the context of Nepal, Supreme Court of Nepal has ordered to get immediate financial support for the treatment and the penalty for committing acid attacks be increased from three to ten years imprisonment. Similarly, one should stop the illegal sale of acids used in such attacks and most importantly human mind should be made free from corrupted mentality of taking revenge.
