The 356th Bagmati Clean-up Campaign is taking place in a symbolic way over the deadly corona virus spreading across the world.
As shared by Mala Kharel, the member of High Powered Committed for Integrated Development for the Bagmati Civilization, the regular clean-up campaign will be carried out amid presence of a few campaigners.
Kharel further shared that the security agencies will not participate in the clean-up campaign so as to avoid the crowd.
The campaigners will not enter the river and the clean-up campaign will be held in a symbolic way to generate awareness that the filth is the source of 70 percent of diseases, said Uttam Pudasaini, Chairman of Bagmati Sundarta Sarokar Manch.
Meanwhile, the students will not be used in the campaign this time for the fear of coronavirus.
