Kathmandu, April 7
Bir Bahadur Bajgain has been unopposed elected Chairperson of the Nepal Bag Industry Association (NBIA).
The NBIA’s 5th Convention which concluded today in the Capital picked a 17-member working committee for the next three years.
Raju Maharjan was chosen as Vice Chairperson, while Keshab Bahadur Ghimire as General Secretary. Niroj Prasad Dhungana was picked as Secretary and Gobinda Kumar Dhungana as Treasurer.
Members include Sanjaya Poddhar, Mukunda Prasad Thapaliya, Kisan Prasad Timalsina, Kankish Jain, Jitendra Mani Adhikari, Dipak Prasad Neupane, Sandip Sarawagi, Rameshwor Adhikari, Mandip Bajimaya, Habiba Shekh, Gyan Kaji Maharjan and Lok Nath Sigdel. Approximately 200 bag industries are involved with the NBIA.
Addressing the meeting, newly elected NBIA’s Chairperson Bajgain pledged to resolve problems in local bag industries.
Likewise, Secretary Niroj expressed commitments to promoting local bag industries, and easing import of their raw materials.
