This week, Mr. Chen Xiaoshuang is General Manager of Tianli Publishing Culture Company, Vice President of the Overseas Chinese Association in Nepal with his friend Ms. Deng Yan Jun visited Bal Uddhar Secondary School to know the real situation of the school and children.
本周，尼泊尔华侨华人协会副会长、天利出版文化公司总经理陈小双先生与邓燕君女士参观了Bal Uddhar中学，了解了学校孩子们的生活情况。
Mr. Chen Xiaoshuang was born in 1963 in China and graduated from Nanjing Aviation Institute in the year 1980. He had joined Beijing Tianli Economic and Cultural Company in 2007 and 2015 and then transferred to Tibet Tianli Publishing Culture Company. He came to Nepal in the year 2016 in September.
陈小双先生1963年出生于中国，1980年毕业于南京航空学院。2007年、2015年先后加入北京天利经济文化公司，后调任西藏天利出版文化公司。他于2016年9月来到尼泊尔。
Nepal Tianli Publishing Culture Company is committed to publishing books, organizing cultural exchanges between the people of China and Nepal. The company actively organizes and participates in various cultural exchange activities between China and Nepal, and has done many works for cultural exchange and friendship between Nepal and China.
尼泊尔天利出版文化公司致力于出版书籍，组织中尼两国人民的文化交流。公司积极组织和参与中尼之间的各种文化交流活动，为中尼之间的文化交流和友谊做了许多工作。
Since its establishment in 2014, it has published nearly 100 types of books in English, Nepali, Tibetan, and other languages. The company also publishes the English-language magazine Himalayan Story and the Tibetan-language newspaper Tibet Today. The company’s China Book Center has introduced several thousand books and tens of thousands of copies from well-known Chinese publishers and writers. There are ten chain bookstores in Nepal. The Nepal Tianli Book Corner has been set up at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, and Kathmandu Valley Library.

During the visit of Mr. Chen and Ms. Deng, there was interaction with President Mr. Dhruba Prasad Ghimire, School head Master Mr. BinodPandit, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) president Ms. BimalaBaral, teacher representative, and other PTA and SMC members.
在陈先生和邓女士访问期间，与学校管理委员会主席Dhruba Prasad Ghimire先生、校长BinodPandit先生、家长教师协会(PTA)会长BimalaBaral女士、教师代表以及其他家长教师协会和SMC成员进行了互动。
We discuss the possible partnership between Chinese individuals, businessperson, or a government agency to provide a quality education through supporting student sponsorship, providing educational materials, class furniture, and making a conference hall at school for children’s indoor extra activities.

During the class visit, students were very much interested to learn the Chinese language so the school leaders requests them to support running the Chinese learning center at a government school.

During the discussion, Mr. Chen and Ms. Deng told,“we are individuals so we can only do something from our capacity. But we will discuss with stockholders for building the school conference hall and to run the Chinese classes at school. ”And they were willing to bring some educational materials from China and hoping to make them custom-free. The school management committed to the request to the ministry of education for the custom-free process, or the school will pay the customs fee of the materials.
在交流过程中，陈先生和邓女士说，“我们是个人，所以我们只能做一些力所能及的事情。但是，我们将与合伙人讨论建设学校会议厅和开设汉语课的问题。”他们还愿意从中国带来一些教育资料，希望引进它们时不受海关限制。学校领导承诺将向教育部要求申请免海关手续，或者学校将支付教材的海关相关费用。
Bal Uddhar Secondary School (BUSS) – a model community school in Kathmandu, is located at Budhanilkantha Municipality -10, Kapan, Kathmandu.It was established in 2046B.S (1990A.D) with the huge support of residents, educationists, intellectuals, politicians, and all other well-wishers. This academic institution explores a huge platform for the holistic development of our students. There are about sixteen hundred (1600) students from playgroup to grade XII. Students from more than fifty-six (56) different districts are obtaining quality education with us.

A large share of the national budget allocated by the Government of Nepal for education is spent on community schools every year. Despite the huge government investment, community schools are failing to provide quality education. As a result, financially weak parents are cutting their throats and sending their children to private schools with an expectation of better education. Witnessing all these bitter truths , every individual undoubtedly questions : Why the community schools in Kathmandu Valley despite having enough physical infrastructures and qualified and trained teachers failing to provide quality education?

Social worker and political leader Mr. Dhruba Prasad Ghimire, the president of the School Management Committee (SMC) is working very hard to change the present situation of the school.After his leadership in school, the local Budhanilakantha Municipality supported nearly seven million Nepalese rupees budget for school infrastructure development and fifty-five million to retrofitting for the four buildings which were unsafe because of the 2015 Nepal earthquake
社会工作者及学校管理委员会主席Dhruba Prasad Ghimire先生，正在努力改善学校的现状。在他领导学校之后，当地的布达尼坎塔市政府为学校基础设施发展提供了近700万卢比的预算，并为因2015年尼泊尔大地震毁坏的四栋教学建筑提供了5500万卢比的改造预算。
