The Banke National Park has prepared to bring in more number of tourists. It had observed the visit of 150 tourists from the country and abroad combined in the last fiscal year. Among these, only eight were the foreign tourists.
Accoeding to the Chief of the Banke National Park Pramod Bhattarai, “Planning has been prepared that could attract more number of tourists in view of the Visit Nepal Year 2020. Bhattarai also shared that the national park has initiated talks with people’s representatives, hotel entrepreneurs, journalists, industrialists and other stakeholders.
The Banke National Park is located 20 kilometres away from the East-West Highway in Banke district. It is famously known for Royal Bengal Tiger. It is also rich in natural beauty with diverse wild life. The indigenous communities around the park have been running homestay.
Bhattrai also added that “Banke National Park, which was announced only eight years back, is home to 21 Royal Bengal Tigers,” He also expected that the increase in tiger’s population would help to attract more tourists. Similarly, the owner of Gabhar Valley Community Homestay, Krishna Chaudhary informed that the Chure hill range has further beautified the national park Even the hiking could be arranged in the Chure area.
Similarly, Nepalgunj sub-metropolis has planned to develop Kanti Lake as a tourist destination in view of the Visit Nepal Year 2020. The renovation around the Kanti Lake was undergoing with the internal source of the sub-metropolis, shared Mayor Dr Dhawal Shumsher Rana.
