The Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has sealed the under construction training academy building of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
The municipality sealed the building construction stating that the Madhyapur Thimi-3, Gaththagahr-based CAAN constructed the training academy building of Air Traffic Controller (ATC) without taking prior approval from the local government.
The CAAN had started the construction of its two-storied training academy building at the estimated cost of Rs 70 million. The construction works started a month ago.
With the seal the construction of the building has come to a standstill.
It may be noted that the then Department of Aviation had occupied around 400 Ropanis of land from local people for the operation of aviation-related services.
