Sankhuwasabha, Feb 12
An improvised explosive device (IED) was blasted by an unidentified group in the under-construction building of the powerhouse of Arun III hydropower project.
The blast at the Pukhuwa powerhouse in Diding of Chichila rural municipality-3 took place on Saturday night, according to police. The building has suffered damaged in the blast, according to police inspector at the District Police Office, Bed Prasad Gautam.
A search has been launched to nab those behind it, with no side claiming responsibility for it so far. Prior to this, the Nepal Communist Party cadres had carried out arson, targeting the project two years ago.
