A candlelight vigil and signature campaign was organized in order to remark the solidarity in the fight of China against the novel corona virus outbreak at Basantpur Darbar Square in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Addressing in the campaign organized by Nepal China Himalaya Friendship Society, former Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and central member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Ananda Pokhrel asserted on that to get rid of the corona virus is the biggest challenge today.
Former Minister Pokhrel also said that “when one neighbour is fighting with an epidemic, another neighbour also gets hurted”. He further shared that China will soon win the battle fighting against the virus and expressed his due respect to the attempts made by the Chinese government and health workers.
Similarity, in the program which commenced at 5 pm, member of House of Representatives Dr. Bimala Rai said that one neighbour should provide assistance to another in the time of need.
Likewise, another HoR member Rajendra Gautam shared that all nepalis are ready to provide support to fight against the outbreak of the virus.
Students returned from China, foreigners, chinese, individuals from different organizations and school students were participated in the program.
