As shared by the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the weather of Kathmandu Valley is misty since early morning. It is also assumed to continue through the day today.
According to Bibhuti Pokharel, a meteorologist, the lower level of the air pressure is cold while the upper level is comparatively warmer in the capital causing the mist . It should normally have been just the opposite.
The mist will clear only after rain or sunshine. The absence of both has caused the mist, said Pokharel.
Light rain is forecast in the hilly areas of the eastern region today.
Likewise, the weather will be generally cloudy through the country with chances of light rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
