Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have held discussion on expansion of the Cabinet.
At the meeting held at PM’s official residence, Baluwatar, Maoist Centre Chair Dahal submitted the names of the leaders representing his party in the government, said Dahal’s personal secretary Jokh Bahadur Mahara.
Under the leadership of Ram Bahadur Thapa, the Maoist Centre is prepared to join the government. The Maoist Centre claimed that it has submitted the names of the leaders having competence and representing all provinces.
“Maoist leaders are representatives of class, region and competence,” argued personal secretary Mahara.
The PM is expanding the Cabinet second time today. The government of left alliance headed by Oli was formed on February 15.
According to Oli’s press advisor Bishnu Rimal, during the meeting, the two leaders discussed the issues about the Cabinet expansion.
The swearing-in ceremony for new ministers in the government is scheduled to take place at 4:00 pm at the Office of President, Shital Niwas, today.
