CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inspected the Republic Monument on the premises of Narayanhiti Palace Museum this evening.
After the visit, the former Prime Minister said that he was happy as his concept of building the monument on the premises of Narayanhiti Palace Museum was getting materialized.
Chairman Prachanda said, “Though I tried to build the monument in this very location during my first premiership, it was halted due to many reasons but the process got advanced later during the time of the Maoist-led government.”
He said that he realized the dreams of martyrs and enforced disappeared persons envisioned for a stable and developed Nepal coming true through the Republic Monument.
Prachanda said that the Republic Monument should be developed as the most visit site for the national and international visitors in Nepal.
The Republic Monument spread in 35 ropani is prepared with the investment of Rs 400 million, Project Coordinator Roshan Shrestha said.
Project Coordinator Shrestha said that the monument would be handed over to the government within some days.
