Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that Chhath festival would further strengthen national unity by increasing mutual harmony, tolerance, brotherhood and unity among the Nepali people.
Issuing a message today on the occasion of Chhath festival, Vice-President Pun said, “The multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-culture and secular country is rich in various religions, and cultures.
Such elements have made Nepal more beautiful as well as strengthening national unity.” He added though the Chhath festival is not being observed in a joyful environment this year as of previous years due to coronavirus pandemic and urged all to celebrate this year’s Chhath festival with joy following health security protocols.
The Vice-President wished that the Chhath festival would encourage all Nepalis for national unity in order to fight against coronavirus and to fulfill national goal, “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali”.
