China has expelled three American Journalist of Wall street Journal.
Speaking on the press conference on Wednesday, spokesman for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Geng Shuang said that they have been expelled for publishing article in the Wall street Journal.
On 3rd February the Journal published a feature article entitled ” China Is The Real Sickman of Asia”.
Spokesman Shuang asserted on that “the editors have tried to spread anger and hatred among the Chinese citizens and international community by keeping such a discriminatory headline.”
“The Chinese people do not welcome media that publish racist statements and smear China with malicious attacks,” he added.
Chinese officials have “demanded that The Wall Street Journal recognize the seriousness of the error, openly and formally apologize, and investigate and punish those responsible, while retaining the need to take further measures against the newspaper,” Geng Shuang, the ministry spokesman, said in a transcript provided by the Chinese government.
The reporters are provided with five days to leave the country -Spokesman Shuang informed. Prior to this on Tuesday, American officials said that the five public media of China would be treated as the extended form of Chinese government.
