Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi called on Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai in tourism ministry on Tuesday.
In the meeting, ambassador Yanqi was curious to know about necessary preparations in order to combat the infection of deadly novel corona virus which has been spreading around the world as global health threat.
As shared by the private secretariat of tourism minister, the meeting was mainly focused on the preparations to combat with possible dangers to be caused by the deadly virus and safety measures to fight against the virus.
Ambassador Yanqi also shared regarding the experience of China for the control and prevention of corona virus. She also asserted on that 59 thousand chinese nationals among 80 thousand 900 infected from the virus were sent home after being treated in hospital.
Ambassador Yanqi expressing her belief that Nepal will remain free from corona virus also shared that China will always be ready to provide full assistance to fight against this epidemic outbreak. She also praised regarding the precautions and preparations made by the Nepal government to remain safe from the infection of possible danger of the virus.
She has also shared that China is ready to provide all sorts of technology, medicine and information applied to help support Nepal in order to control and prevent the infection of corona virus.
In the meeting, tourism minister Bhattarai expressed happiness over the situation on which China is being able to combat all forms of problems caused by corona virus. Minister Bhattarai also said that Nepal has made all necessary preparations to prevent the danger of the virus.
He also shared that government is making preparations regarding checking in international airport, managing beds and quarantine rooms in hospital among others.
Secretary of tourism ministry Kedar Bahadur Adhikari among others were presented in the meeting.
