A Chinese national has been arrested in Kathmandu for hacking a bank’s ATM and illegally withdrawing cash.in Kathmandu.
According to Kathmandu Police source, Wang Seu Lang, a Chinese national has been nabbed from Kathmandu-27, Thamel while he was trying to steal money hacking the ATM of Mega Bank recently.
The law enforcers say they were given a tip-off that had hacked the machine owned by Mega Bank at Jyatha of Thamel.
Based on the information that a person has been trying to hack PIN number from an ATM machine, a team of policemen including the officials from Metropolitan Police Circle Durbarmarga and Metropolitan Police Office Kathmandu raided the area and nabbed Lang from Thamel.
Police say they confiscated four mobile sets, 10 keys, 10 ATM cards, Yuan 2,300, USD 65, and NRs 2,110 in cash from him.
Further investigation is underway.
