Coronavirus death toll crosses 134,000 globally with nearly 2.1 million infected

 With Coronavirus wreaking havoc across the world, the death toll from the novel virus has climbed to 134, 375 after 7,774 people died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 79, 936 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 2,077,839.

Currently, 1,433,611 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world, of which 51,144 are critical.

Meanwhile, 509,853 have returned home after treatment.

The United States of America (USA), the worst-hit in terms of deaths and infection cases, has witnessed 28, 506 deaths after 2,459 died in the last 24 hours.

With 29, 625 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 643,508.

Currently, 566, 323 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which the condition of 13, 487 is critical.  Meanwhile, 48, 679 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 11, 586 deaths followed by New Jersey and Michigan with 3,156 and 1, 921 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has witnessed 578 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the number of death toll to 21, 645 as of Thursday morning.

With 2, 667 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 165, 155, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America.

Currently, 105, 418 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 3,079, are critical. Meanwhile, 38,092 have recovered after treatment.

Spain has the second highest number of infection cases with 177, 644 after the United States of America (USA). According to Worldometer, 3, 584 people were infected and 453 died in a single day.

A total of 18, 708 people have died due to the novel virus as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 88, 083 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 7, 371 are critical. Meanwhile, 70, 853 have returned home after recovery.

The United Kingdom (UK) has reported 761 new deaths taking total death toll to 12, 868 as of Thursday morning.

With 4, 603 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 98, 476 according to Worldometer. Currently, 85, 264 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1, 559 are critical.

France has registered 17, 167 deaths after 1,438 died in a single day. This is more by 676 than the number of deaths compared to yesterday.

A total of 762 died yesterday According to latest figures collated by Woldometer, 4, 560 new cases were reported taking the total number of infection cases to 147, 863 as Thursday morning.

Currently, 99,769 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 6, 457 are critical. Meanwhile, 30,955 have returned home after recovery.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 134,375 and infecting 2,077,839 people as of Thursday morning.
