Coronavirus death toll crosses 303,000 globally with over 4.5 mln infected

With Coronavirus pandemic wreaking havoc across the world, the death toll from the novel virus has climbed to 303,061 after 5, 296 died in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 94, 909 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to  4,520,564 as of Friday morning.

Currently, 2,516, 325 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world, of which 45, 566 are critical. Meanwhile, 1,701,178 have recovered after treatment.

America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 1,682 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 86, 879.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 25, 403 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,455,750 as of Friday morning.

Currently, 1,052, 147 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 16,240 are critical.  Meanwhile, 316, 724 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 27, 426 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 9,950 and 5,482 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Italy has reported 262 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 31,368 so far.

The number of infection cases in the country has reached 223, 096 after 992 new cases were reported.

Currently, 76,440 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 855 are critical. Meanwhile, 115,288 have recovered after treatment.

Spain has the second highest number of infection cases with 272,646 after the United States of America (USA).

The country reported 1,551 infection cases, 217 deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 27, 321 have died from the novel virus so far.

Currently, 58, 845 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,376 are critical.

Meanwhile, 186, 480 have recovered after treatment.

The death toll in the United Kingdom (UK) from Coronavirus pandemic has reached 33, 614 after 428 died in the last 24 hours.

According to Worldometer, with 3, 446 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 233, 151 as of Friday morning.

Currently, 199, 193 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1, 559 are critical.   UK has performed tests on 2,219,281 people so far.

The death toll in France has reached 27, 425 after 351 died in the last 24 hours. With 810 news cases the number of infection  cases has surged to  178, 870 have been as of Friday morning.

Currently, 91, 840 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2, 299 are critical. Meanwhile, 59, 605 have returned home after recovery.

Similarly, Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 13, 993 after 835 died in the last 24 hours.

With 13, 761 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 202, 918 as of Friday morning.

Currently, 109, 446 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 79, 479 have recovered after treatment.

India has reported 2, 648 deaths after 98 died in the last 24 hours. With 3,942 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 81, 997 as of Friday morning.

Currently, 51, 379 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 27, 969 have returned home after recovery. The India government has performed tests on 1,947,041 people for Coronavirus so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world.
