COVID-19 kills 329,180, infects 5,079,896 globally; 2,019,945 recover

With Coronavirus pandemic wreaking havoc across the world, the death toll from the novel virus has climbed to 329,180 after 4,626 died in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 96, 959 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 5,079,896 as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 2,730,771 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world, of which 45, 798 are critical. Meanwhile, 2,019,945 have recovered after treatment.

America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 1,385 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 94, 918.

With 20, 669 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,591,252 so far.

Currently, 1,126, 277 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 17, are810 critical.  Meanwhile, 370, 057 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 28, 816 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 10, 747 and 6,066 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

The death toll in the United Kingdom (UK) from Coronavirus pandemic has reached 35, 704 after 363 died in the last 24 hours.

The number of infection cases has surged to 248, 293, according to Worldometer. The condition of 1,559 is reported to be critical. No new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. UK has performed tests on 2,962,227 people so far.

Similarly, Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 18, 859 after 876 died in the last 24 hours.

With 18, 859 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 291, 579 as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 156, 037 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 116, 683 have recovered after treatment.

Likewise, India has reported 3, 434 deaths after 132 died in the last 24 hours. With 5, 553 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 112, 028 as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 63, 172 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 45, 422 have returned home after recovery. The India government has performed tests on 2,512,388 people for Coronavirus so far.

The infection cases in Russia has reached 308, 705, becoming the second highest country after America in the world.

According to Worldometer, 8, 764 people were infected in the last 24 hours. With 135 new deaths, the death toll has reached 18,859 in Russia.

Currently, 220, 341 Coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2, 300 are critical. Meanwhile, 85, 392 have returned home after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world.
