The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has asked people to refrain from organizing or participating in festivals, gatherings or public celebrations, including Holi to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, DAO Kathmandu urged people to avoid public gatherings such as assemblies, festivals, and fairs due to the viral outbreak of coronavirus.
”As the World Health Organization (WHO) has placed Nepal under a vulnerable zone to the virus, we urge one and all not to attend or hold any public gathering,” the DAO notice shared.
The government has already urged people to avoid public gatherings to prevent the spread of the virus.
