DPL cricket: Mahendranagar United in playoff



Dhangadhi, April 7

The match between Mahendranagar United and CYC Attariya slated for today under the Dhangadhi Premier League Cricket Championship has been put off due to last night’s rainfall.

Mahendranagar United has reached the second place of the championship with five points after the match has been put off. Mahendranagar has reached the playoff with one game remaining.

Today’s match could not take place as the pitch was soggy due to rain. Both teams shared a point each with the postponement of the game.
CYC Attariya is in the fifth position with three points.

Mahendranagar United will play the DPL’s last game with Kathmandu Goldens on Sunday. Kathmandu Goldens has hauled eight points winning in all the four matches it played. With this Kathmandu, Goldens has already secured its place in the playoff.
Similarly, CYC Attariya is playing the last game of the league with Biratnagar Kings on Sunday itself. It will secure its place in the playoff if it wins its Sunday match against Biratnagar.

So far, Dhangadhi Chauraha has collected four points and in the fourth place, winning in two games and losing two matches out of the four games it played while Rupandehi which lost in all four matches it played and is without any points is in the last position.
