Dr. Badri KC announces candidacy for NRNA president

Dr. Badri KC the Vice President of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has announced his candidacy for the post of president of the association for the next term of 2021-2023.

Announcing his candidacy, KC said that his candidacy for the post of chairman would be due to his 15 years of continuous experience in the Non-Resident Nepali Association and his seniority in the current working committee.

Dr. KC expressed his commitment to work actively in the areas of institutional refinement, the second generation in NRNA, participation of women and youth, investment in Nepal, science and technology, foreign employment, and others.

Dr. Badri KC was a general member of NRNA NCC Russia from 2003 until 2007 when he was involved in the NRN campaign. Then he served as the Secretary-General of the NCC Russia from 2007 to 2009 and joined the International Coordinating Council (ICC) in 2009.

He was an ICC member for two terms from 2009-2011 and 2011-2013. In 2013-2015, he was elected treasurer. He has been the General Secretary for two terms from 2015 to 2019 BS and Vice-Chairman for 2019-2021 BS.

Dr. KC received his PhD in Biotechnology from Moscow in 2001 and his EMBA from Moscow State University in 2009. He has investments in various sectors in Russia and Nepal.

With the announcement of KC’s candidacy, gossips have started on the leadership selection for the next term of the association.

KC’s candidacy has the support of Upendra Mahato, the founding president of the NRNA, and Jiba Lamichhane, the former president of the association.
